Do I need to register in advance to buy tickets?
Where can I buy them
Check the festival website, it's always the best and cheapest option.
When do the tickets go on sale? Do they sell out? If so, when?
First 2016 tickets went on sale on the 24th of November.
Sziget tend to sell out very quickly, but we can´t predict what will happen this year, so the best advice is to buy your tickets as soon as possible.
Where do I collect my tickets from?
The easiest way is just to print your tickets at home (and then don´t forget to bring them with you!) and exchange it for a wrist band at the festival entrance.
How do I get there?Which country are you travelling from?
See all your option here: http://szigetfestival.com/travel
Once you are in Budapest:

From this station you take the metro/underground (blue line) and change at Deák Ter station to the red line and get off at Batthányi station. (last station of the line). From Batthányi, you catch a train “HÉV”, in hungarian, until Filatorigát station.(train station of the festival)
2 - If you are coming by bus from another country, you will arrive at Nepliget international bus station. From this station you can catch the tram number 1 (tram is villamos in hungarian) towards Árpád híd station. From Árpád Hid station, you will have to get the bus 34 to Bogdáni út.
3 - From Keleti train station (All trains coming from outside the country arrive at Keleti train station). From this station take the metro/underground red line and get off Batthányi station (last station of the line). Camping? Hostels? Hotels?
You have a few options for where to stay:
1 – Camping: This is definitely a good way of enjoying the festival from start to finish (yes, you have to bring your own tent with you!). Water, showers and toilets will be available.
Check upgrade campsites options:
2 – Hotel
A good hotel room for 2 people in Budapest will cost around €50 per night.
3 - Hostels
A room to share in Budapest will cost around €20 per night.
4 - Couch surfing:
This is a hospitality exchange and social networking website. Once you join up, you can search through host´s profiles and look for someone to stay with around the area of the festival, for free! This can be a really great way to meet people who live locally and get all the best tips.
Check it out: www.couchsurfing.org/
Food & drinks:
How much should I expect to spend each day?
Of course, this depends on the person, but to give you an idea we´d say around €25 per day should cover the cost of your food and drink.
Check the official price list of beverages at sziget:
Food: between €4 & €8 for a meal
You are only allowed to take food and drink into the campsite but not into the event arena. Avoid glass bottles, as they can be confiscated.
