Accommodation:

Camping? Hostels? Hotels?
You have a few options for where to stay:

1 – Camping
This is definitely a good way of enjoying the festival from start to finish (yes, you have to bring your own tent with you!). Water and toilets will be available.
VIP camping has showers and flushable toilets.

2 - Hotel
www.booking.com
A good hotel room for 2 people in Stroud and cities nearby will cost around $350 for 4 nights.

3 – Couch surfing: This is a hospitality exchange and social networking website. Once you join up, you can search through host’s profiles and look for someone to stay with around the area of the festival, for free!  This can be a really great way to meet people who live locally and get all the best tips.
Check it out: https://www.couchsurfing.org/

Food & drink:

How much should I expect to spend each day?
Of course, this depends on the person, but to give you an idea we’d say around $40 per day should cover the cost of your food and drink.
- Water: Free
- Beer: $5
- Mixed drinks: $8
- Food: from $5 to $12
You are only allowed to take food and drink into the campsite but not into the event arena. Avoid glass bottles, as they can be confiscated.

Important tips:

Getting to Backwoods properly is the most important tip.  It IS in the Backwoods, so be sure to follow the directions on our website.  You do NOT want to come through Kendrick like your GPS will send you.  The roads are very run down, full of pot holes, and if it rains, you will almost certainly get stuck or be run off the road.  The directions on our site take just as long, but bring you in from main highways from the North, which are much nicer roads.
Bring a totem, theme your camp, and express yourself in your outfits.  Backwoods is all about self expression.
